Rinnai Corporation (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Hiroyasu Naito) has received the Red Dot Design Award 2024 for its RDT-63/RDT-93 Series of gas clothes dryers (Kanta-kun Deluxe). This is Rinnai's fifth product to receive the award, following its MBC-332VC Series^*1 of color controllers in 2023. The Red Dot Design Award is an internationally prestigious design award sponsored by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen in Germany. The latest award was in the Product Design category, which attracted entries from companies 60 countries and regions around the world. Kanta-kun Deluxe also won a Good Design Best 100 Award 2023.

Kanta-kun Deluxe had a robust appearance and simple design that harmonizes with the surrounding space. Its door and operating panel consist of the minimum necessary horizontal, vertical, and perfect circular elements. The visually streamlined, sophisticated design of this clothes dryer was achieved by placing the door opening/closing handle on the side. The metal dial on the operating panel is carefully textured to provide a sense of solidity. Our goal was to create an aesthetically pleasing clothes dryer that, essentially becoming part of a home's interior design, can be used and loved indefinitely.
