There are cases that equipment is damaged after a long period of use.

Please contact your retailer or Rinnai's contact point, which is given below, to request inspection and repair.

Some of the latest products provide improved functions and higher energy efficiency.
Rinnai recommends customers to consider purchasing these products instead of repairing existing products.

Paid inspection service

Rinnai recommends users to arrange an inspection after 10 years from the manufacturing date for household-use products, and after 3 years for commercial-use equipment.
If you would like to use a product longer, please arrange an inspection at an appropriate interval or consider replacing with a new product.

Repair and parts replacement after an inspection

An inspection is to confirm if a product complies with the inspection standards. It does not include repair services for any defects found. If a customer decides to request repair or parts replacement based on the result of an inspection, a separate fee will be charged.

Guidance for maintenance and inspection system for products in long term-use

The following maintenance and inspection systems for products in long-term use apply (Japanese version only):

  • Legal inspection provided based on the long-term use product safety inspection system.

    Under the Consumer Product Safety Act, products with a "Specified Maintenance Product Mark" require owner registration and paid inspection service to prevent serious accidents due to the deterioration of the product caused by long-term use.

  • Safety Inspection provided based on the long-term use product safety inspection system.

    In accordance with laws and regulations, Rinnai recommends owner registration and paid inspection service for products with a "Safety Inspection Mark" to prevent serious accidents due to the deterioration of the product caused by long-term use.
