Apology and request to the users of Rinnai's unvented-type small hot-water heaters
We thank our customers for their patronage over years.
Rinnai regrets to inform you that a fatal accident occurred related to an unvented-type small hot-water heater that we manufactured. We would like to express our sincere condolences to the victim and his family. Rinnai will request our customers to use our products safely. We will also provide free inspection of concerned products. Rinnai solicits for kind understanding and cooperation on this matter.
For the use of an unvented-type small hot-water heater, please make sure to either turn on a fan such as that attached to a range hood or open a window during the use for ventilation.
Moreover, when the fire of a product frequently goes off, an inspection is required. Please immediately stop using the product and contact us or the shop of your purchase.
Based on a request from a customer, a staff will be dispatched from Rinnai or Rinnai Service Shop to your place for inspection.
