Problems that could be caused by incorrect usage

Actual case Clothing which had been stained with oil was dried in a dryer and later self-ignited due to the combination of heat and residual oil.
Caution
A towel stained with oil may self-ignite while being dried.
Residual oil may not be totally eliminated from clothes even with regular washing.
Due to the remaining heat after items are dried, oil may be oxidized and heated, which could result in self-ignition.
Clothes stained with oil should not be dried in a dryer even after washing. This includes the followings:
- Cosmetic oils (such as body oil and oil used for beauty treatment)
- Cooking oil
- Machine oil
- Animal derived oil
- Oil used for dry cleaning
- Benzene and thinner
- Gasoline
- Resin (Cellulose type)
Actual case A dryer was repeatedly used.

A dryer was repeatedly used despite showing an error indication, eventually resulting in an abnormal ignition which burned the dryer’s air supply filter.
