1. Product quality and safety measures

Rinnai Corporation strives to infuse the idea of "Customer first", "Product safety" and "Legal compliance" throughout Rinnai group, and stabilize the culture of product safety.

2. Product safety promotion system

We will reinforce our internal system to promote product safety to gain customers' trust for the safety of our products while actively and voluntarily securing the safety of products.

3. System to collect and distribute market quality information

To accurately and swiftly execute the Product safety voluntary action plan, Rinnai gathers market quality information on product accidents, misuse in a timely manner and others.
When an accident which is related to our product occurs, Quality Assurance Headquarters, Accident Information Control Room centrally controls the product accident information. Quality Assurance Headquarters, Accident Information Control Room confirms the product accident information, report to the president, and share the information with concerned departments.

4. Response to product accidents and information analysis

When a critical product accident related to our product occurs, we will immediately report our obtained information regarding the accident to concerned government agencies in accordance with laws and regulations.
Moreover, we will accurately and promptly analyze and study the cause of the accident to prevent the enlargement of damage, and consider and implement the prevention measures for similar incidents. Rinnai will disclose the product accident information and measures to customers and concerned parties.

5. Elimination of risk related product use

For the improvement of product safety, each concerned department will identify, evaluate and establish measures to avoid the risks related to product use including misuse in each stage of product life cycle including product planning, design, development, production, sales, installation and repair.

6. Internal training

To accurately and swiftly execute the Product safety voluntary action plan, we provide our employees with the necessary training to have them become fully familiarized with the laws and regulations concerning product safety, our measures on product safety and the Product safety voluntary action plan.

7. Verification and continuous improvement of the execution of the Product safety voluntary action plan

Based on the laws and regulations concerning product safety and the internal regulations, Rinnai periodically check if the Product safety voluntary action plan is properly executed through an audit.
Rinnai continues to review and actively improve the product safety promotion system to upgrade the product safety promotion system.
